02 ss exhaust

So i've read all the posts and other places, but i need more answers. I have an 02 monte ss, total stock. Obviously it has the 3.8 v6. My resonator has a huge hole in it. THANK GOD! This is prompting me to do a lil exhaust work. My buddy runs monroe muffler in my area. So the work will be dirt cheap. that said, I am looking for a low sound at idle, barely noticeable. But god dammit when i punch that gas to show some lil ricer up, i want his ass to know it! :evillol:
I'm eliminating the u-bend and resonator for sure. That said, im lookin at the flowmaster 40 delta series. But not sure if i should go with the dual tips(already has dual mufflers) or single tips. and what types of tips, and how long of tips, are best. Really don't have money to burn. meaning i would love to keep both mufflers and tips around the 250 range.:2cents: Any help?
