Tire Help

Hey guys, great board you have here. I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. I am looking to put new tires on it here in the next week. I have been looking at them, but you can't tell how they will wear by the picture obviously, so I have come here to see if anyone can help me in my decision.

I live in rural Nebraska, and drive tons of dirt and gravel roads, along with some highway. I want a tire that gives good traction in mud, on ice, and in snow. I have to drive atleast 3 miles of the worst roads around to get to the highway in the winter, spring, and summer when it is wet and snowy.

I have looked at a few tires, and kind of had it narrowed down to 2 tires, but I am open to any suggestions. I want something that will wear well, I currently have Bridgestone Dueler A/T 265/75-16's on, and have only gotten 15,000 miles out of them.

My first choice was Cooper Discoverer STT 285/75-16's. I have heard they wear very well, and provide good traction.

My second choice was MT Baja Claw Radials 285/75-16's. I have not gotten to much info about them accept that MT rubber tends to wear un-evenly at times.

I have cranked the torsion bars since my last set of tires, to allow me to fit larger tires under it. If you know of any other tires that come in that size, that fit my needs, I'd love to hear about them.

I would like to have this information by the end of this week.
