Jimmy gauge problems

1999 jimmy, the alternater went bad on the way to the parts store my brother in law hooked up the jumper cables backwards.... repalced the alt and now the guages, locks, fan, radio etc wont work... any suggestions?

Check all fuses and fusible links, and replace/repair as necessary. Then post your results.

Thanks for the help! A few bad fuses. Everything works but the heat, plenty of A/C just no heat.
