you will need a 4 Ga or bigger power wire, the same size wire for a gnd wire. You will also need an RCA cable from your aftermarket deck along a single turnon wire (18 Ga should be enough). The last item is 12 Ga or better for speaker wires.

Ok I just got all of that but now I need a line output converter because I chose not to get a new headunit due to money issues. So what would you sugest?

then that's just an additional piece of equipment you will need. The only other "problem" is where to get the turn on lead for the amp. All the other wiring is the same

So I need a line output converter and a turn on lead just to get my rca cables to the amp?

the line output converter is just a way to be able to use the RCA inputs on the amp. The turn on lead you will need no matter what, to turn the amp on.

dont get a cheap LOC there not worth it. Get something good like a JL cleansweep or a Fosgate 3sixty.1. They are all over 200$ but they are worth it. But even then you can just get a real headunit.
I would run nothing smaller guage then 2g, 1/0 is optimal. Save if you can't afford it. Buying stuff just to get by costs more in the end cause you are unhappy with it.

So if I got a good head unit I wouldnt need a turn on lead or a line output converter?

exactly, as long as the headunit has RCA outputs (which 99% do these days). they also have built in remote wires.

you will still need to RUN the wire from the deck to the amp ..................

Yeah running the wires is not a problem I just dont want to have buy all that stuff. Ok I may save some more money and get a nice head unit

And does the head unit have to have a bass pre amp or could I just use one of the other preamps on it?

you will want a headunit with a dedicated sub preout
