1994 ABS brake system, cabels, hoses, etc. overhaul needed. Is it possible to stilll get parts for this? If so, what would this type of overhaul cost? Anyone have this same problem or experienced this?

Welcome to AF, all the parts are available, what is wrong?

Thanks for the response. Problem: Break light comes on and chimes and the brake pedal has to be put all the way to the floor to stop the car. I had someone check it initially and this person told me he would not even recommend driving the car anymore. This mechanic told me all lines ABS MOD are rusted and rear camber of MC is empty. The emergency brake is locked up and all mountings and calipers are rusted. This mechanic didnʼt know anything about working on ABS systems and referred me to a dealer who will charge me an outrageous price. I realize the car is 14 years old with mileage: 109176, and rust of being in WI & ME with snow and salt, but was taken back when I was told they couldn't do anything more with the car.

The abs is not the problem, the rest of the brake system you listed is, rusted lines, leaks, frozen calipers, fix this, if the abs acts up just disable it, but nothing you mentioned is connected to the abs. I think you mean the lines to or out of the abs unit are rusted, if so, again, this is just an issue with leaks, it does not mean the abs itself needs repairs.

Thank you for your insight into my car problems. I had the front brake lines replaced and the shop seems to think that was all it needed. Thanks again.
