ABS problem

Hi Gang,
My 99 blazer has an intermitten ABS fault. It usually happens when I'm going around a sharp corner. The ABS light will come on. As soon as I turn the car off, the light goes out. It happens when I turn right or left.
Also, off and on, if I'm braking when I make a sharp turn, it will act like the ABS is engaging, but I lose all stopping power.
Any thoughts? I'm assuming it's a short, but I don't know where to even start looking.

Hi Gang,

Your assumption is most likly correct. If you know which side is causing a short, take a close look at the connection from the hub(two wires) and follow it up and around to the actual connection. Usually its rubbing somewhere on and has rubbed right through and causes an intermitent short if the wheel is turned, or the suspension is moving.
