1999 espace cylinder head problem

Hi, My 1999 espace has been diagnosed by a diesel specialist as having one or more valves not seating correctly. I need to get the head off & was wondering if this can be done with the engine still in the car or can you just get away with lowering it a little to do this. There is no haynes book of lies for this model. Much appreciated.:biggrin:
