2001 Neon clicks but won't start unless I,

...disconnect a terminal, reconnect it then it starts right up. Of course my clock ain't the same but it starts. Any ideas?

It is possible that the battery post going into the battery is not making contact inside the battery. Does it seem loose? If not check the other end of the cables. Where the ground connects to (on block most likely)and where the pos. connects to.(on starter most likely)

No it doesn't appear loose at all. I took the battery in when this first happened and it was fully charged. No corrosion on the terminals at all. You think it might be cables?
I hope it's not a starter problem. I'm not ready with 300 bucks to fix it.

No not the cables, but check the other ends of the cables where they are mounted like I said. If you have done that already, I'd say remove the starter and Autozone or wherever can check that too.

And BTW! You do have a starter relay. Get a manual and you can locate and check it. Or someone here might know exactly where it is.
