Sooo...i've been searching for a while now and still haven't found exactly what I was looking for. I have a 94 lx(3.8 v6). Its a project car/daily driver. I am aware I can do a 302. I am looking to buy a 302 crate from somewhere...still trying to get a good price range. I don't want a track car..just a nice cruiser..without the hassle of fuel injection. Im more of the old school motor fan..straight to business.
With that said...I know it cant be as easy as just dropping it in..lol.
Any suggestions on precautions to take and other parts that may be needed will be gladly appreciatied. I would also like to know if I will need a new hood with a scoop and if a 96 fiberglass hood will fit a 94? I will be getting paint soon and wanted to paint all the parts at the same time.
Thanks everyone for your input..whether it be good or bad:biggrin:

Thanks everyone for your input..whether it be good or bad:biggrin:Apparently 5.0 bolts up to original tran of 3.8 find proper mounts & why not leave gas tank in ,propane tank in the trunk, 20 min swap. Alternative fuel. things to look out for, manual fuel pump/302 timing chain cover/go with one wire hook up power master alternator, check out canadianmustang.com for hood scoop.5.0 must be 88 or newer to balance with tranny, earlier are internally balanced later are externally balanced.propane is 108 octane ! Either mallory or (MSD) distributor is the best way to go for ignition,EZ.edelbrockintake, plug the back of the heads on your new 302 , some sort of pollution control.
