Started it for this year.
here's some past shirts/poters
http://www.chircoestore.com/catalog/images2/bfest_47_sm.jpg
http://www.chircoestore.com/catalog/images2/bfest_06_sm.jpg
http://www.chircoestore.com/catalog/images2/bfest05_5_sm.jpg
Each of the vehicles is someone in our community so it's pretty cool cause I get to do the art for the shirt and a friend gets their car on the shirt and I send hi-res prints of their car solo as well.
here's my thumbnail for this year

Your photo-realistic artwork is fantastic.
I see that your thumbnail was done "toony" style, but the first pencil is very realistic.
Any challenges in the overall design process when you start out the initial design
with one style (CAR-toony), but knowing you're going to finish it as more realistic layout?
I'm thinking that getting the perspectives right could be a bear.

the thumbnail sketch is just a rough thought. The proportions and stuff don't translate to the final directly.
After I finish the linework on the vehicles I'll do another layout and fit them in.
As far as perspective, you'll notice that I keep the vehicles separate for the most part and they aren't necessarily in the same "world". That way I can just draw them and drop them in. My design skills are pretty rudimentary so I take short cuts. :) with practice I'll get better. I try to do a little better each time out and try not to be "perfect" just better than the last time.
That helps me keep going.

It's rare that I do something I like. This one is close though. I don't think it's the linework which I always see flaws in (real or imagined), in this case I think the character of his bus is there. It feels like Thayers bus. I got lucky :D

I'm going to transfer it again and fix everything. It's a pretty good start for me though.

Your reflection/shading work brings such depth to a "flat" image.
All the curves and bends to the buggy body really pop on the last image.

I'll do the windshield after I decide on a few design things. There's a couple issues but no showstoppers.
Overall I dig it. It was pretty tough though.

lemorris,
i always wondered how you get your drawings to have such a non-sketched look. i guess you use adobe or something, and to be honest, i have no idea where to start. i love your work, but i'd kinda like to see a sketch from you with just pencil and paper to see how it compares to my own sketches. well, i guess i shouldn't say compare. more like contrast. :-)

I always start with pencil
go back to the start of this thread and you'll see the ugly that is is
also there's a number of pencil drawings on my site
http://www.lemorris.com
my drawing style mimicks my final rendering for this computer stuff. It sux but it gets me close to where I want to be.

The "Bus" is my favorite, the "ratty" look to it seems spot on, even down to the faded door graphics.
