kickdown cable/lockup tc

long story short i went to carb on my 89 camaro now i need to adjust the kick down cable and make the lockup work so i dont cook the 700r4 the kick down cable i have all the slack out but it is not pulled untill the throttle pulls it i believe this is right correct me if im wrong next the lock up ive heard of just using a switch and turn it on in 4th gear so i need to know witch wires do what thanks

using a toggle switch, splice into the wires for slots A and G on your ALDL port.

i should have mentioned most of the factory wireing has been removed i will need to do this at the trans plug
