Tire Pressure Sensor Error

I have an 06 Avalanche Z71 and so far I've only had a couple of small problems which I will address individually. This problem is with tire pressure sensors. I took the truck in for new tires - not going to mention where [Tire Kingdom] because I don't want to bash anyone [Tire kingdom]. Anyway this 'tire store' [Tire kingdom] replaced the tires and when I got the truck back all was well until the next day when the service tire system monitor flashed up when I started the truck. I checked the pressures and the front two tires will not register. I take the truck back to this 'tire store' and the idiot tells me his "mechanic" isn't on duty that day so I go back on a day when the "mechanic" is on duty and his response is "We [Tire kingdom] are not responsible for any type of tire pressure monitoring system and infact, the changing of the tires does not affect the system monitor."

In short - screw you we're not fixing it. Got it . . . filed complaint . . . never going back to the 'tire store' [TIRE KINGDOM].

So, the question is . . . can I fix the damn thing 'cause it's annoying. If it's an easy fix then I'll do it but if it's dealer only I'm not going to waste my money . . . thought? Advice? . . . yeah I know . . . STAY AWAY FROM TIRE KINGDOM!!

You need to get it where you can check the tire pressure for being the same in all 4 tires.
The tire moniter mointer should have a reset.
Reset it when you get a 4 tires the same pressure.
And see if all is well.

Do you mean there is a "tire system monitor" reset or are you referring to the individual tire reset (like when you rotate the tires)? In order to reset the individual tires - there is a procedure that involves adding/removing x-amount of air from each tire until the horn blows and then you have 5 seconds to move to the next tire until they are all done.

Problem with that is the cycle starts with the driver side front tire . . . and neither tire even registers on the monitoring system. If there is a master reset I would be glad to try it.

I do not have info on the 06 system.
If there is a reset try to reset it.
But from your discription of the problem it sounds like the tire shop wiped out the valve stem mointers changing the rires.
Your dealer is you best bet or checking the system.
And may be where you will have to buy new tire stem mointers.
Not cheap.
I would hand the the tire shop the bill on fixing it.
Let us know how it goes.
Good Luck
