My brother has this car with about 150k on the clock and it won't start (seems to be a problem on these cars from what i've found searching this forum). i've checked spark with the plugs installed in the little boot's and all plugs are sparking fine. (we changed the coil housings already, so there should not be any problems there) As far as i can tell the fuel pump is working (i hear the wirr when the key is turned on), but there is no fuel coming out of the injectors while cranking the car, and from what i can tell the injectors are getting power (tested with a meter no noids available at the time) (i removed the fuel rail and watched for fuel while someone cranked the engine). also i don't see a fuel pressure test port or a fuel filter on this car (am I blind??). Any help would be greatly appreciated. This car is fairly new to him, about two months, so i don't know any of the history of what has been replaced. I wonder why anyone would have traded this car in....

Ok, so after a few more hours of work I found that when you disconnect the fuel filter (yeah I found it, long night and no real lighting) and turn on the key you get fuel out of the line. (the fuel filter is not plugged because you can attach the inlet and still have fuel flow form it when you cycle the key). I then disconnected the fuel rail inlet and cycled the key...nothing, cycled the key a few more times and....nothing. So now the question is now, is the fuel pump just weak and not able to push fuel all the way up to the fuel rail?

Welcome to AF!
Are you sure its not out of gas ?
these float levels can be defective and show inacurate level readings.
Your fuel pump / filter could be the problem.
I'd change the fuel filter first and see if that doesnt get it going.
To test the fuel pressure you need to rent/buy a hose(kit) with a guage that hooks into the fuel line under the hood. About $25-30 at most part stores.
Also is the security light on or flashing on the dash while attempting to start ??
