Make sure the bleed all the air out of the system. Check the head gasket. Along with the head gasket, the water pump could be bad.

how do i bleed the air out? ok ill do that as well. but my thermostat gauge is not working so does that mean a sensor could be bad that controls the thermostat or water pump?

theres a little valve on top of ur engine preety close to the distributor u just need a open wrench and twist it until u see the coolant come out and also check if u have a clogged raidiator try a flsh its cheap maybe that helps it happend to me and i changed thermostat raidiator hoses and new hi speed fan
