Ecm?

Ok so I got a question. Where can I get a Factory ECM or an OEM ECM besides GM for my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP? If anyone could direct me in the right direction, I would much appreciate it.

You could also try calling a local junkyard near you, you might get lucky.

If you do buy a used one, it will have to be reprogrammed for your VIN #. You cannot just install it as you get it, as it may not work properly. Also note, most dealers won't reprogram a customer supplied PCM, they want you to buy theirs. There are auto parts stores that have the capability to program them instead of going to a dealer.

for a 2001 GTP, just throw in a DHP PCM. Its an oem factory one that already comes programmed to your specific VIN and should just plug and play

Plus you'll have better fan turn on points, better fuel trim tables, increased tranny line pressure...The list goes on.
