I work for a large company which supplies us with F-series Fords for work trucks. Up until this last truck, I have hated Fords. It has always been the same problems with all of them -- brakes, funny tire wear, ignition problems and drivability. The last Ford they gave me was an F-150 and we were spending about a 500 dollars every 10,000 miles to keep it running.
The truck the company last gave me is an F-250 with the 5.4 liter engine. The truck has 77,000 miles on it and I still have the original Bridgestone tires and all original brake pads, etc. The only thing I have had to do to this truck is air filters and oil changes. Did Ford finally get their act together or do I have a rare truck? I am impressed, so far. Hell, if Ford is this good now, when I wear out my Xterra 4 X 4, which will take forever, if it is like all other Nissans I have owned, I would consider buying one.
Have a good one and may your Fords last forever...
