power steering pump pulley 3.0

anyone ever replaced just the pulley on the power steering pump on a 3.0 liter

Yup! It is pressed on and requires a special tool that pulls off the od one and presses the new one back on. It is likely that the tool will not fit in the space provided so the pump will likely have to be removed in order to replace the pulley which isn't that tough to do at all.

Did it break?

yes, I was doing water pump and putting back together and it hit main engine bracket and chipped three of the inner splines. I was hoping it wasn't
pressed.

can I rent the tool at autozone.

yes they have even let me use it free there takes like no time at all
