Fender flare and bug guards

So I finally found my sub, an 04 K1500. Straight as an arrow then the wife took it to the store and we now have a small vertical dent and paint goober in one of the fenders. I don't want any more so I'm considering some of the flare kits I've seen. Same for the bug guard . . . don't want to get any dings in the front edge of the hood. Is there any product out there that stands head and shoulders over the competition. Or any attachment design that works best? I don't want to end up with rust under the flares so I'm looking to those with experience before pulling the trigger on this.
