92 accord accleration problem (please help)

Ok a few months ago i gave my mom my old car so shed have transportation to get around in. Its been running fine until this past week it wasnt accelrating like it should. I drove it today and when i tried to accelerate it wouldnt go over 2500rpms and was reeeeally sluggish even when the pedal was to the floor. i put it and neutral and revved it and it went fine. anyone have any ideas on what i can check? i cant afford to pay to take it to a mechanic right now so i need some ideas on stuff i can check out and maybe fix myself so my mom wont be stuck at home. thanks guys

did you check the spark plugs make sure theyre not corroded with carbon or anything else

How about your transmission fluid.

When was it changed last time?
