1994 f250, sits most of the time. Sat thru a big storm the other day, jumped into today and started right up. drove about 50 ft. and it just stopped. It has done things like this before, and normally it runs like crap. But has always ran. How can you check the ign. module without buying a new one. Truck has a newer coil, tune up, etc. Mostly used for plowing snow and hauling wood. It has spark, but weak spark...could it be the module?

Auto Zone and Advanced Auto will check the modules for free if you take them into the store.
The pickup in the distributor take a 12 volt test light put it on the coil negative it will blink if good when somebody is cranking the vehicle.
