How do you make a 2.7 v6 last?

I have a chance to buy a realy nice 02' car with a smooth running 2.7 in it with 74k miles. Is there some maninance procedures that would make this engine last?

Its called keep up with the maintenence period. Oil changes every 3-5 thousand miles works wonders. I have 155000 on mine now and just replaced the waterpump due to a leak I had for over a year. Small gumming problem in the oil pick up tube causing an oil light flicker. All else is good. Must have got lucky on my 2.7!!!!
