G2 Revv Problem?

Hi I had recently just purchased a 1990 Acura Integra LS and when I started the car it starts revving itself like when you start it just starts revving from 1,000 to 3,000rpm I was wondering what could be wrong can someone plz help me.

just cold weather i guess... here with around 0 to minus 10 or more, my 92 teg would rev @ 2k and it will gradually drop back down to 700 rpm in about 10-15 minutes.

Double check in summer, it shouldn't rev anything higher than 2k rpm.
