Squeal ?

Anyone have any info on tsb# 03102005 on my 05 Silverado ?

I'm not familiar with the TSB....call dealer....with your vin#..

you can go to NHTSA and look it up....

basicly if it is the belt squealing it is usually pulley , belt wrong belt, or idler problems.. may also be pump leak on belt..


If the pump is noisy replace the steering fluid...use the correct fluid... use a pump to suck out old fluid...if you do this have both wheels off the ground and then move the steering wheel so as to cycle the fluid and then suck out repeat this 3x and then place on ground give it a couplse of days driving it should improve..



many times the wrong sized belt is used . make sure the marks on the idler are in the correct position , if not the belt is wrong....too much too little tension...
