A few Questions

I'm pretty new here, and have some questions about modeling.
1. Has any company made a US/CAN market Integra type R model? the one with the round headlights, not the JDM ones?
2. Has a company made a Volvo 850 Sedan Street (not BTCC) kit? Has any comapany made any other volvos?
3. how much do you guys pay for your model kits and paint etc?
4. which model companies should I avoid?
5. has any compan made a 1998-2002 honda accord model?
6. how can I and how easy is it to make waterslide decals?
I've searched everywhere and I can't find some of these models(if they exist).

Revell made the round headlight variant of the Integra.

Tamiya made the 850 Estate - combined with the BTCC sedan you could make a street version complete.

I am certain more answers will follow :)

Some AMT and Fujimi kits can be a little lacking in terms of detail and realism. I think all manufacturers have their good kits and bad kits. Best thing to do is research the particular kit you're into before buying it. As for prices I live in canada and the most i've ever paid for a kit was $55. Paints are fairly expensive ($10 for a tamiya spray can). Hope this helps!

I see on ebay there is a Revell Integra type R. what colour in Tamiya paints is closest to Champion white?

another question, should I assemble the bumpers on a body before painting? or paint all bumpers and other body trim bits seperate.

For championship white I'd say TS-26 "Pure White" would be your best bet. Also i'd recommend attaching the bumpers even if just temporarily with tape to ensure that the paint is even on the body and bumpers. For spoilers etc I usually do those separate.

4) TKM (LOL!) Actually, every company has made some crappy kits (even Tamiya!), so the best practice is to search AF for progress threads, then if you can't find any, ask members about the kits you are interested in buying.
5) Aoshima made several variations of the Accord Wagon of that model years, but not the sedan.
6) Testers makes an inkjet decal kit, which includes everything you need to start making your own water-slide decal, assuming that you own a PC, inkjet printer and some kind of graphic manipulation software. What the Testors kit or any other inkjet/laser printers can't do is to print white. If you need white, you have to have an access to Alps MicroDry printer. (or have a print shop make your own dry-transfer decal.)

Maybe I'll dig out my old inkjet. (I use a laser printer atm) :)
