Hello everyone!!
Well im purchasing a 2002 LS V8 with 58k miles on her. I was asking if there were any common problems that i should know about, or if the car is even worth purchasing. Im concerned because the last vehicle i purchased i really didnt do my research and i ended up selling it after the second year because all the problems:mad: !! So now im looking for something RELIABLE and cost friendly, and my dad told me about the lincoln ls because he had an old lincoln towncar and he said it lasted him for 200000 miles. But I wanna know if there are any problems that i should know about because i want this car to last for at least 5 yrs!! Thanks Guys -Jaime

Well, for reliabillity and cost reasons, the Lincoln LS is not one of your better choices. Unlike the Town Car, many of the components on the LS are specific to it, the limited production new Thunderbird, or the Jaguar.
Try searching this forum for the keyword "common" and you will find answers to most of your questions. If you're wanting a more reliable car but still really like the look of the LS, hold out for a 2003-2006 model.

I completely agree with Rod. I have a 2000 and love the car but have almost experienced every problem I heard about on here, from 00-02 I heard Lincoln was still working out the kinks, I would definately go for an 03 or newer wich also have more horsepower and more than likely less problems being a later model LS.
