2006 Monte Coolant Question

Hello,

I just recently purchased a 06 Monte 3.9L. It is 3 days old with 31,000 miles. I was just going over the fluids and checking the under the hood. I opened the radiator cap and there was no coolant visible. But, however I did notice that there was rust around the metal throat, and on the radiator cap itself a film. Anyone know if this might be bad? What it could signify? Its under warranty but I want to go into the dealer prepared with the knowledge to tell them exactly what to look for and what I want fixed. Also, does anyone know of any other problems with this vehicle? Other than that I love this car!!

have them flush cooling system. show them what you see & with milege & yr should have already been done.dont let them tell you its good for 5yr 100k thats isnt true & they no it.outside of all the service work that should be done now!!!there a pretty nice car.Good Luck
