Dash light keep going on and off

Hi my 2001 t&C dash go off when diving and then i have to turn off the ignition and then it comes on .. ?? can anyone please help me out and the extended warranty just expired.. 81k on the van :smile:

VERY common problem....search for "dash solder joint" and you should get LOTS of results. Gist of it is there is a cold solder joint on the instrument cluster in the dash. Re-flow the solder and you'll be good to go.

Chad thanks however i did pull the ido fuse and the problem went away ..mike:tongue:

I have the same problem with the dash gauges.
I have done the following, but none have worked: 1. Cleaned off battery terminals 2. Resoldered the large connector pins on the speedometer. 3. Inpected wiring behine climate control for electrical short damage.
Is leaving the negative post off the battery for 24 hours the same as pulling the IDO fuse? You were basically resetting the computer?
