Bosch!
I used to work with Bosch a lot when I was designing automotive tooling and I must say I liked their products....right from their small hand drills through to their industrial electric presses!
After Bosch.....Makita and Metabo....
For around the house, Black&Decker is fine....

Most of my tools come from the auction rooms,or from garage sales. As long as they are a recognised brand, and selling for less than they are worth,I'll buy them.Quite often this means that I 'double up' on items, but when that happens,Ill just use both for a month or so to decide which I prefer, and then store one for a rainy day.
As for hand tools,I tend to keep the Stanley screwdrivers and the Fullers wrenches.I've just about acquired a full set of Fullers sockets, but the handles, ratchets and accessories are a bit of a mixed bag.

The only Snapon tools I have is bolt extractors and the Shallow and Deepwell 1/2 inch drive impact sockets.

DeWalt, although they're expensive as hell. Makita makes some nice-ass stuff too, and B&D makes good stuff for the price.
