Anti-Lock Brake Light

Hi everybody, I have another question. The anti-lock brake light on my 2000 Buick Century is staying on all the time. I think it might be a censor, but I'm not sure which one it is, or what the censor looks like. Does anyone have any suggestions or pictures of what the censor looks like? I believe the censor is located around the wheel for each tire. Thanks for any help!

How about the traction control system TRAC OFF light. Is it on? There are 4 wheel sensors used. One at each hub. To pull ABS related DTCs an ABS capable scan tool is needed.

The Trac Off light does not stay on. Do you know where I can go to get/barrow a ABS capable scan tool? Also, do you have any pictures of the censors?

The sensors are integrated into the hub bearings, so there is no separate sensor to show you a picture of. With no trac-off light illuminated, I would suspect your light is not wheel speed sensor related, but is a problem with the ABS unit. As far as the ABS capable scan tool, they are VERY expensive ($1000-$4000), so you'd be best off paying someone to scan it for you, make sure they give you the codes and then post them here.

Here is a pic to give you an idea. The wheel sensor cannot be replaced separately. As you can see the wiring harness with electrical connector is also integrated into the hub assembly.

However, as we pointed out best to get it scanned. The best ABS scan tool to use is a GM Tech 2 which the GM dealers use.
