tint windows

How dark are you legaly tint your window? I was in my friends car when we were pulled over becuse the cop said that the diver and passanger windows were to dark and they werent even that dark and he rote my friend up a ticket. So I was just wondering how dark can the be befor cops get pissed and give you tickets?

On the back 3 windows you can have them as dark as you want to. As long as you have 2 side mirrors. For the front 2 Here it is 35%. and the windshield you can have what ever you want down to the as1 line

I think I may be off the "tinting my own windows" trip. I found a place in vallejo that will do it for $100 for back doors and back windows.

But yea, what civic rush said is pretty much the way it is.

BUT IT ALSO DEPENDS ON THE LAWS IN UR STATE

The state laws do very but they are all just about the same

Here where i live at its 50% on the front windows. Which means you basically give the window tinting people your money and just leave. Cuz 50% is almost stock. I got 35% all the way around and the cops havent said much to me..just roll with your windows down and your good to go..lol

That is how it is where i live as well.

are you positive about the 50 % law, i think its 35%!!

OOPS, my bad, i dun know why it did not show up, well, in NY, you can only have whats on the car, which is 70% on the front 2 windows, the back 3, it dun matter, you can paint em to match ur car if you feel like it! but the front has to be stock, which is 70, which is almost the same as 50% thats why most people go with 35 or 20, i think 35% all the way around is the best!

im personnaly not a fan of the 3 back windows being a different shade than the front, but i dont think 30 % is dark enough, i have 5 % in the 3 rears, and nothing in the two fronts. i want to get the two fronts done but im am very picky and i dont want any bubbles at all.

I have 5% all the way around on my wagon and my hatch
