How to replace E36 side marker lights?

purchased clear side light marker replacements, but they came with zero install instructions. They appear to be a pop out with a spring tab, but not sure and do not want to damage the sheet metal...........is it that simple?:confused:

It's that simple. Unscrew the one screw and slide it forward. Easy.

If it's a later model E36 you just slide it forward then pull out the rear of it. I believe they changed in 1996.
