not sure if this was already a topic....but my wife thought this would be a good subject....

do you belive that the woman is the reason we are the way we are b/c of the events that took place in the garden of eden....i know that there are those that believe it never happened....but their opnions are welcomed as well....

Eve's actions in the "garden of eden" were based on HUMAN desires... also, humanity has had some really good times since then.

IMHO, I think the real issue here is MODERN women. Divorce rates rise as women become more "liberated", frigid and gay:bloated: Thanks ladies... hope you're enjoying your freedom:rolleyes:

There are a lot of God/religion threads in here. Its been pretty well played.

I dont believe in Adam and Eve. I do believe in God. I dont believe that organized religion has all the answers they think they do.

Even if I didn't believe in Adam and Eve, mankind had to start somewhere, and I'm not too much of a believer that I am a monkey, so someone had to start modern-day man...

Anyhow, I am a "liberated" woman, and I know too many men who are much more susceptible to "human" desires than I am. Who's to say that Adam wouldn't have done the same? Besides, wasn't MAN who later deceived Jesus??? Just a thought.

I don't go along with the myths that have evolved around the ultimate myth.We are what we are today because we are greedy,rude,and lazy by the standards of our parents.We spend far too much time and energy on electrical appliances as a substitute for honest labour.We rack up debts on creditcards as though it is the most natural thing in the world to take what you want know and pay sometime later.We set out our own agendas for life without regard for how they will affect those closest to us.We make non-negotiable decisions when we should really leave room for debate and improvement,and we pay absurd amounts of money to have people come and do the tasks that our grandparents could knock out before breakfast.In short,we are the sole authors of our own worries.It's a lifestyle thing.

Who knows if Eve is to blame, all I have to say is: Women...Can't live with 'em, Can't live without 'em.
