Starter problems

I have a 1993 jepp xj that is having some problems starting.
the last solution to my problem was to remove the starter relay swich and bypass the ignition key....problem is now it stoped workin. What should i do im not an expert a fixing cars and i dont have very much money can you help me out?

Take the starter out and have it tested at AutoZone or Kragen's....
