Boost Gauge Install

i have a 2002 pontiac grand prix gtp and im trying to install a boost gauge. my question is, im having trouble trying to figure out how to install the vacume hose under that hood. my car already has a T-Fitting on it.(Underneith the supercharge in plain vie) so would i have to somhow put a tfitting in one of those hoses and then connect my new hose? im just curious if anyone knows what im talking about? if you dont please ask me some questions so i can explaine this alittle bit better

All you have to do is T into the vacuum hose you see under the supercharger snout which is the vacuum line for the MAP sensor. It doesn't make any difference how many Ts are in that line as long as the fittings used fit and there are no vacuum leaks and you have the output to the boost gauge.

Just curious, is there any easy way to check and see if i have a leak in the vacuum hose? or will i find out when my boost gauge is hooked up?

start the car and at idle spray the hoses and fittings with carb cleaner. Listen to the idle. If it increases, spray that spot again. If it increases again, you have a vacuum leak there.

BTW, are you going to post some pictures of your Boost Guage Install?

I'd run a vacuum check with a gauge just to see whether overall engine vacuum is in specs. Just use a simple, inexpensive 0-30 in-hg automotive vacuum gauge. At that specific point at idle you should see a solid 17-20 in-hg. Acceptable range is 15-22 in-hg.
