Leaking Mirror

A few months back my wife informed me that the mirror on her 2000 Buick Regal GS was leaking a black goo. Upon inspection I found that the mirror had discolored and that the black goo was dripping down onto the shift console.
I removed the mirror and attempted to clean the shift console. This is when I noticed that the black goo had dissolved the shift console leaving a hole in it.
The mirror was manufactured by Donnelly and is common to many vehicles including Mercedes and Acura.
I was able to purchase a remanufactured mirror from:
Sybesma's Electronics
1-800-456-4265
The cost with shipping and exchange was approximately $105.
I am in no way associated with Sybesma's and only post this as help for those that run into the same problem.
The mirror shipped was a direct replacement and arrived in a few days.
