guage needles

hello i have a 99 GT and was wondering if anyone know the procedure for removing the needles on the gauges. i recently bought a new cover for the gauges and cant seem to get it on without removing the needles. thank you.

ok i figured it out. all i used was a fork from the kitchen. i slid it underneath and pried it off the little shaft. put my new gauge face on and put the needles back on and i was done. but after that i had to recalibrate the needles because silly me i didnt mark where they were when i took them off. haha but i got it done and looks great ill post a picture later when its dark out.
