i have a 04 sxt and i want to put a more powerful engine in it but keep reasonable gas mileage what other engines from other cars can i put in my car example would be an eclipse 2.0

Why would you think an eclipse has a more powerful engine?

You can swap a magnum engine from a ACR or R/T into your car. Those engines are rated at 150 HP at the crank.

Swapping an entirely different engine from another manufacturer is going to be alot of work. So I would make sure you would be up to the task at hand. The 1st problem you would run into would be engine mount locations. So you would have to fab up brackets to hold the engine in there.
