My Tahoe keeps burning out the Oxygen sensor (right side)(front). And the plugs on the right side is smogged and the BLACK smoke starts.
I can change the oxygen sensor and it will run for about 2000 miles and then the same thing over again. C E L comes on and the rough idleing and rich fuel smell.
Any suggestions? thanks

I'm wondering if you have a cat converter problem?

first off right side is unclear...if this is the drivers side I would remove the vacuum line to fuel regulator if you smell/see gas replace regulator....

arkansawman33,
My Haynes manual doesn't explain in enough detail for me to diagnose your problem.
You'll need a qualified tech to help so you don't throw the wrong parts at it.
I was just guessing when I mentioned the faulty cat converter. Sorry I can't be of better assistance.
