okay i own a 1994 isuzu rodeo 3.2 v6

the truck was sitten for almost 3 years

so i decided to give it a tune up and put it to use!

i changed
spark plug wires
bosch platnium spark plugs
new fuel filter
new alternator
fuel system cleaner
new air filter
so i turned it on and there was alot of condensation exiting the exhuast

so i take it around the block and it ran like a champ
when i went on the highway that i took it up to 70mph it felt like sh**

when i put the pedal to the metal it doesnt go no accelerate
when i remove my foot a little it gains power
it takes forever to reach 85mph and when it does i get a CEL
i took it to a local shop to get the CEL checked out but couldnt find the plug!
i need help can someone please help me

it is running rich when i rev it up high while parked or in neutral it smokes black and smells like raw gas

where is the plug to check the CEL?
what may be the problem?

Im not sure about the 94, but on my 93, at the ECM which is at the left kick panel in front of the door. theres an empty plug by the ecm. Mine has 1 black, and 2 orange wires. you have to jump the 2 outside wires to put it in diogostic mode. The wire was long enough to reach over to the brake pedal.
Im just guessing. but setting that long, im thinking you injectors are lacquerd up. and will probabbly need replaced.
Did you use a high quality injector cleaner? they type that you hook directly into the fuel line. or the cheap stuff you dump into the gas tank?
Running rich definatly sounds like a injector problem, if they are clogged they probabbly aren't atomising the fuel fine enough, and sending it in in bigger drops.
hope this helps. good luck

It's been sitting for three years. The entire fuel system is probably gummed up with varnish. I'm surprised it even started at all. I would start by draining the gas from the fuel tank and putting in fresh fuel along with some Sea-Foam. Replace the fuel filter, clean the throttle body and replace the spark plugs.

You may need to pay a shop to use their pro injector cleaning machine.

okay so last night i decided to jump the 2 wires

i did it several times the sequence was 12,12,12 4,4,4,4,4,4 12,12,12

i searched on trouble codes for a code 24

code 24 is the code for (VSS) viehcle speed sensor

i doubt a speed sensor would cause this

and at no point has me speedometer stop working

and my cruise control still works

it also says fuel pressure vacuum switching valve

can anyone tell me where its located on a 94 rodeo 3.2 v6???

i dont know what to do!!!

Well if im reading your code correctly, It may be the code 44 which is
44
O2S Lean
Fuel Metering{9}

Which is probabbly clogged injectors.
Ide take it to a local garage that has the pressurized injector cleaner. and give that a try.
Or you could Try putting 100% Sea Foam into the fuel rail, To do so you would have to remove your fuel pump relay, Relive the fuel pressure in the line, remove the fuel feed hose, (front one by the Right manafold) Remove the Fuel presssure regulator. (at the Driverside Just behind the Coil pack) and fill the fuel rail up with sea foam, put your regulator back in. and let it soak for a while, Then reconnect your fuel line, and relay. Pull your plug wires. and maybe every 3 mins turn it over for about 10secs. which will push the sea foam through the injectors a little at a time, to clean them.
I try putting the sea foam into a squeeze bottle, and push it into the fuel line.
You will not be able to push any into the fuel line unless the regulator is removed. because it will take 45psi to force it through the regulator.
This will be a hassle to do. but like i said, ide take it to a local small shop garage, and just let them do it. Make sure they have the cleaner system im talking about. The kit is about 100.00 and the cans of cleaner are around $20.00. So it really doesn't pay for you to buy the kit, just to use once in a while.

FYI New injectors run about $80.00 ea. and would take a bit of time to change, along with a new intake penjelum gasket. Definatly drain the gas tank, and put a couple gallons of good high test in.
Also you can narrow it down to which injector is malfunctioning by pulling 1 plug wire at a time, and see which cly/clys, are dead.
