01' 2200/stick

Recently replaced the tire 170k engine in my cavalier and did a clutch kit. NO CEL For like 4 days and now a P0440 shows up obviously giving evaportive emissons issues. I checked the surge solonoid. I also made sure all the vaccum lines were hooked up. The car def is leaking fumes from some where i can surely smell that. I was wondering if maybe i had reversed the vaccum lines that enter the to the purge.... does anybody know if the line should be the low pressure test port be on top or bottom. I've viewed allot of posts on this site and I am amazed of the postive attitude and how helpful everybody seems. I am an ASE certified Diesel tech, and look forward to any help i can add to the board. Even though its amazingly huge!
