Catera Help?

I own a 1997 Catera and the lights behind the the instrument panel have gone out(fuel gauge). Anyone know how i could access the lights and fix them, its not a fuse, its a blown bulb. I also heard of a lot of people having major problems with their catera, i'm not one of them 64k and the only thing i had to deal with are recalls, and one replaced radiator fan. I have the same problem. Cadillac says you have to take the dash apart. These cars are a pain to do anything on.
