my 00 gm has a 4r70w. i switched the gears from a 3.08 to 3.55. my super chip wont aloow the gears ratio switch because the sensors on the gm wont allow the trans to change like the sensors on the crown or stang. is this true? can i change out these sensors from a crown or stang? if so where are they located at. the super chip will change ever thing else shift points and pressures speed and rev limits but not the gear ratio. i never got the pi heads and intake but im still looking. anybody got a set in the k.c.mo. area?

What sensors are you talking about?
The Electronic Engine Control (EEC) should allow a two step increase in the differential gears.

Don't know.

I never heard of a "chip" being able to change the gear ratio.
I have heard of chips correcting speed odometer and transmission shift points due to changing differential gears to different ratio.

i have a superchips max microtuner and will increase hp torq speed&rev limits shift points tire size and gear ratio but wont let me do the gear or tire. iwas told by ford that the sensors in the gm are different then the others and the only that i could chang was the gear for the speedo which i did but speedo is still off 6 mph. i have not checked with a trans shop to get their input but so far they want it brought in and they will check it for a fee. i thought i info was in the ecu. if this is true then maybe i can get a ecu from a stang or vic. still looking for the heads
