94 Astro fuel problems

I have a 94 astro that is cranking but will not turn over. When I spray carb cleaner to prime it it fires then quits. The fuel pump is not running when the key is turned but when power is run directly to the harness it runs. I have replaced the relay which was thought to be bad but no luck yet. My only other thoughts are a bad fusible link or bad wiring running to the fuel pump harness. Any thoughts or ideas? I have no fuses blowing out either.

Mine did the same thing-about 8 yrs ago- when you jumper 12v to the primer connection it runs-- so I drove it home jumpered-- then I traced it to the fuseable link plug in right behind the battery-- there are four wires in a common plug that feed into the fuse box- The second one from one end was melted so bad it no longer made connection--
here is a big hint- does yor horn work? it is on the same fuseable link connector as the fuel pump-
So I fixed it by cutting all four wires out of the connector and putting a round terminal on each one and bolting them one the 12v battery hot auxillary stud right next to it- there is absolutely no reason for these to be a plug except for convenience is the assembly plant-- a terminal bolted connection will not get hot and arc and melt like the plug in style. I went ahead and did all four to avoid any future circuit malfunctions....
So my money is on the connector plug behind the battery..
