1994 Geo Prizm Lsi Handbrake Problem

I recently rebuild a 1994 GEO PRIZM LSI to include new drums, disc, Calipers, shoes, Wheel Cyls and handbrake cable.

The problem I am having is getting the darn handbrake to work correctly. I can adjust the nut down to the point of the shoes touching the drum then back off just a turn, but the rear shoes seem to be in contact and getting very hot. Has anyone had any experence in the Setup of GEO Prizm handbrakes?. I must be doing something out of order and any input would be appriciated! :banghead:
