98 Jetta NOTHING HAPPING

Have a 98 Jetta with a 2.0 has been wrecked and only thing removed was the light connections, battery, hood, fenders, bumper, frame straghten and now I cant get it to crank is there a kill switch or something, security, I'm new to german stuff and finally ready to roll but cant get the thing to start any help will be tryed and very appreciated thanks so much Mitch

could be the timming belt if you got that on wrong you may have bent valves? have you tried eather to see if it fires? no fire no start..

The car was drove into my garage and from there I took the body parts off.Put new front engine motor mounts and cross member parts took lower control off and tie rod replaced that stuff put new battery in and I get nothing no click no nothing bells whistles trunck release works all the fans motors stuff like that work but engine does not hit alick

Just asking could I have took a ground loose some where because if I did I cant or dont remember doing it and that be the reone it wont hit?
