:disappoin 32k miles, all new filters, cleaned o2 sensor at air intake. Runs rough, best mileage I can get is 24hwy. Sound normal to you? My '96 TC got 18/30, engine ran so smooth couldn't tell it was on! That was with 114k!!!!!

I just did a tune-up (first plug and boot change) on my '03 with 165,000 and my Highway milage is close to 27 with combined at 24. Not sure what could be causing the rough idle with only 32K on it. You should be getting better than 24 mpg. I use mid-grade gas because I found that regular gave me a rough idle and bad mpg's even though the owners manual calls for 87 octane. Stay away from the super as my mechanic (lead mechanic of a Lincoln dealership) told me that it will trigger premature "check engine" light. Hope this is of any help and good luck!!

It could be the MAF sensor, the Air is measured going to the Intake.
If the data is wrong going to the PCU,your engine will not respond the
way its suppose to.

Yea but a bad MAF will throw a code/light.

YEA!
If hard at Fault, it will throw a code.
However a slow reactive MAF sensor will give you poor performance without a DTC.

It could be the IAC motor too and Ford products do have problems with them.Unbolt it with it plugged in,have someone turn the key on and off.It should move when the key is on and go back with the key off.

Check that your injectors are tight,I had a loose one and that gave me rough idle, running like crap!!

There are no IAC motors on 05+ panther chassis vehicles. 05+ panthers are electronic throttle control.
