Welcome to AF.
Always give engine sise.
There is 2-3 emc fuses,
Is it the plain old emc or emc other fuse?
If a 4.3 TBI check air cleaner adapter for pinching injector wires.
Check the wires there and.
Post back what you find and engine sise.

It is 2.2 motor, with 2 wheel drive and a 5 speed trans. The fuse door saids a 10 amp fuse , but the Hayes book I have said a 20 amp fuse (I had a 10 amp. fuse in it) . This has happened too me two times . The first time about a year and a few months ago. And at that time it wouldn't take a fuse(it just would blow them). But now I let the truck set for about 4 hours and but a new fuse in it and it works. I have put about 6 miles on it now and had it running for about 1/2 hour.
Please can you help

ECM Fuse no 10 is a 10 amp fuse.
Not a 20 amp.
It feeds computer and injectors and some engine sensors and relays.
Like evap solenoid and varible tuning valve and injector relays or circuit.
Inspect all wiring to the circuit.
When it is doing it jumper it with a 10 amp circuit breaker and start unpluging untill you find the short.
Good Luck

You are welcome.
If it is blowing the fuse there is a short someplace.
A circuit breaker is not a fix but may help on blowing fuse untill you can find short.
Good Luck

hi again,
my problem is that it doesn't blow all the time. the last time it blowed i could not get a fuse to not blow for a day or so. but this time the truck only set for about 3 hours and a fuse worked . i think i'll take it to a garage this week.
all i know is that i had a head job done on it and about 6 months later i start having trouble.
