Hello!
I just bought a second hand MT Corolla 95 SE Limited. Everything is fine except for:
a.) the grumbling noise I hear when were driving on the highway
b.) the difficulty encountered when starting the engine. I am just a neophyte driver, so I still have these errors of causing the engine to shut down when I step/release on the clutch. Then when I restart the engine, it would only turn on after 5-6 attempts. Funny thing is that, this only happens when the engine stops due to the clutch mistake, but when like I start the car from the parking garage, it starts smoothly with just one click.
Any ideas?

The "grumbling" could be a wheel bearing going bad. I presume that the noise gets louder with the car's speed and doesn't change when you shift then transmission up or down.
Do you mean that you cause the engine to stall by letting the clutch out too soon? I'm wondering if the fuel pressure may be a little low, due to a clogged fuel filter or a failing pressure regulator.
