I went to an all GM car show last weekend, just a local show. I was surprised when I heard that some guy had driven down from Maryland, and his car was in the showroom. I walked in and there it was....one of the four Lingenfelter Stage 2 vettes in the world prepped with his aerodynamic kit and jumbo turbos. Right now, with 8 lbs. of boost, he's making 550 horses at the wheels and 610 ft-lbs of torque at the crank...that was unbelievable. Top speed was around 220mph and 1/4 mile in the mid tens. When he cranks the boost up to 15 lbs. I can't even imagine what those numbers are...Anyway, it was a gorgeous car. I can always dream:)

Oh yeah...the ZR1 won best original late model :sun:

Side note: I saw a ZR-1 at an Acura dealership this week, and I did take a moment to check it out, but only a moment, because I was irresistably drawn to the four NSXs they had in the showroom. :flash:

I like the flush lights. Kinda Ferrari-ish.

What's up with the picture quality, though?

here is the only one of the ZR1, with a friend's Z06 behind it...

oh, yeah. don't mind those lines in the pics, there is something wrong with my digital camera...the waviness is from MS Paint when I shrunk the pictures:confused:

I would kill to see a Lingenfelter TT vette. But now there is a 427 TT out there, I have got to see that!

If 1 pound made 650 hp, then it wouldn't matter. 8 is good because it is kinda low, so they should spool up fairly fast. Although they do take a bit of time to spool up, so a lighter turbine is in order, IMHO.

GM just released a concept car calllled the Tiger Shark, a 427 with some sort of forced induction (I can't remember if it was blown or turboed) thatt develops close to 750hp...too bad it wont be produced:(

It was supercharged. The 427 TT is a Lingenfelter creation.

I thought Lingenfelter's was just a 427, w/out a turbo

He did, but now you can also get a 427 TT (did you really think good ol' John would be satisfied with just 650hp??) :D

 its gonna be really hard for the 427 TT to get traction, since the normal TT already has problems hooking up.

I would assume so. So the 0-60 time would remain pretty much the same, and if you could pull off a wheel-spin free run, a 10 second quarter is quite possible. The really big benefactor is high-speed acceleration and top speed. It should push it over 250mph ( ), and make this car super-worthy.
