Hi im new to this forum and just looking for some friendly info, if u can help me it would be greatly appresiated. Ok im thinking i have a spun bearing in my 92 vr4 and im going to rebuild it. I have look over the forum and cant seem to find the answer im looking for. Im thinking of going with forged pistons and crank, i was looking at rods but they are really costly. So my question is how much hp can the stock connecting rod hold safely? and are they forged? I read someones comment and they said that they read somewhere that all vr4s had forged rods. Thanks for any help u can give.

stock rods are pretty much good for around 550-600 crank HP. If your not going to be pushign it then stock rods are perfectly fine.
